Wellness Takes Center Stage
Health screenings, yoga and family activities will come together in downtown Indio when the city hosts Salud y Más: Health + Fest on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Center Stage.
The free, all-ages event will offer residents an opportunity to explore local wellness resources while enjoying a community outing. Plans include free yoga and a sound bath, a kids’ zone and select food vendors.
According to the city’s announcement, participating organizations include Desert Cancer Foundation, St. John’s Community Health, SAC Health, DAP Health, Caring for Women, Desi Strong, Nutrishop Indio and Shay’s Warriors.
The gathering will bring health and community organizations to one convenient location, giving families a chance to learn about available support and make connections close to home.
